Snape's Alternate Sorting
What if Severus Snape had not been sorted into Slytherin? 100 Word Challenge #171: Snape's Sorting AU
Content History
Severus walked towards the small wooden stool and the woman holding an ancient pointed hat.
He sat on the stool and didn’t breathe as the hat was placed on his head.
“You’re a hard one.” The hat mused.
“Not so hard.” Severus said defensively. “I’m clever, smart, and sneaky. My mother says so.”
“Your mother was a clueless underachiever.” The hat snapped back at him. “Wasted her potential and then underbred herself.”
Severus was sure his mouth was hanging open for all to see.
“Gryffindor!” The hat cried out.
“You’ll understand one day.” The hat said as Severus stormed away.
